Bernhard Solutions facilitates positive change within non-profit organizations and supports philanthropic foundations in their grantmaking endeavors to maximize impact. Every organization and foundation has its own unique qualities and issues. Our work is designed to meet the specific requirements and dynamics of each organization or foundation.
Bernhard Solutions is the integrated expression of more than thirty years of working with and providing leadership to a broad range of non-profit organizations and philanthropic foundations.
Bernhard Solutions specializes in assessing an organization’s current structure and management. While working directly with the board of directors and staff the resulting process is a partnership that fulfills the organization’s mission and sets future goals. This is accomplished through organizational audits, board development and education, fund development strategies and capital acquisitions, short and long term strategic planning, implementation and monitoring, and evaluating results.
Bernhard Solutions works with foundation board of directors and staff to support the development of strategic philanthropic initiatives insuring that grantmaking is consistent with stated initiatives and values. This is accomplished by training and assisting grantmakers in developing philanthropic strategies, reviewing applications and ancillary materials, vetting applicants, making recommendations, and following up with reports and evaluations to assess the effectiveness of each grant.
